We demand the immediate nullification of the National Intelligence and Security Services Law 2010, and the immediate following reforms: 1- Detention or interrogation of a civilian is to be authorized by an independent judge or the Attorney General by request from the Director of NISS 2- The power of arrest/detention to be transferred from NISS to the Federal Police 3- Extension of interrogation or detention is to be authorized by an independent Judge or Attorney General by request from the Director of NISS 4- The immediate nullification of article 52 which permits NISS officer to commit crimes against those interrogated. (* According to NISS 2010 Law detention/interrogation is authorized by the director ** NISS is using detention without charge as a means of punishing activists *** article 52 states it is not considered a crime any action a NISS officer inflicts upon a detainee if done in good faith (?!!) *independent judiciary as there are several judiciaries in liaison to executive bodies such as NISS courts, Police Courts,..etc )
