We do not know the day or the hour when Christ will return, but He - TopicsExpress

We do not know the day or the hour when Christ will return, but He does want us to guess! Our first guess is that He will return in one hour! Why? Because we are supposed to live as if we believe His return is imminent! He will return quickly – suddenly, without warning! Our second guess comes from the book of Revelation, though there are no signs we do have a time frame. The kingdom of heaven will last for a thousand years. I hope that you are not critical for me taking the bible literally, as God has given us very specific times for when the world was created, why wouldn’t He give us a specific time (determined by how long Christians pray each day – which we can only "guess-ta-mate") for when the world ends? The bible is the most remarkable book ever written.. wow! God gives us specific time frames for most critical events (cf. Micah 7:15). Yet God almost never identifies very specifically the month and days as a thousand years could be anywhere from 998 years and 2 days through 1001 years and 363 days. Now identifying the spiritual time (as the Kingdom of God is of heaven) our angels are before the Father in worship (Matt. 18:10) is most likely the amount of time daily that the most devout Christian of that particular day worships God. Of course as a week is concerned Christians have the opportunity to worship God on one day a week (Sunday) or as many as seven days a week (cf. Rom. 14:5). So now we do some calculations: 1) If Christians worshiped God on an average of 4 hours a day for 1980 earth years then accumulated time in the Kingdom of Heaven would now be 1980 divided by 6 meaning that only 330 years have been utilized in our reign in the Kingdom of heaven meaning that the Lord would return in about 660 more kingdom years, year or 330 years, that would suggest that Christ would return in about 4,000 more years basically meaning the earth last for 10, 000 years a nice round number! 2) If we have worshiped God then 8 hours a day for 1980 years then we would be in the Kingdom now in its 660th year, meaning that the Kingdom would be about 2/3rds over, or that Christians would have a thousand years on this earth to worship the next 330 years in heaven. 3) If Christ had already returned and Kingdom years had run out them men would have worshiped God in spirit for 50.505050% of the time or just barely over 12 hours a day. 4) Which brings me to my second guess, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to learn that at least one Christian per day has worshiped God for just over 12 hours a day these 1980 years meaning we have one hour! That is my guess, my first guess and my last guess, and I suppose the Lord wants us all to have! We will most likely be wrong, because we do not know the day or the hour, but just in case we do need to guess this time, because things are waxing worse and worse each day, God’s patience is wearing out, Christians are praying every day and the time is running out! Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed! Do you have a better guess?
