We donated some money to this Elephant preserve in Chaing Mai Thailand, in exchange we were able to spend the day with our own Elephant. We fed them sugarcane, brushed them and washed in the river. We checked their eyes for lubrication, toenails for cracks and sweat, they sweat through their nails. We had to analyze the dung by holding,smelling and pulling it apart for signs of dryness and inconsistencies. Fortunately the poop goes through though their body within a couple hours so it doesnt ferment and smells like wet hay.
