We each have a lot of people we meet in life – some are family, - TopicsExpress

We each have a lot of people we meet in life – some are family, some are friends, some are just acquaintances. But to say goodbye to one of these people who for years toed the line between friends and family is devastating. I have a lot of memories from college and the years since, and some of the most vibrant are memories I shared with Xavier. You will not be forgotten – how could someone with such a love for life ever be forgotten? I will always remember shaving and bleaching your hair, walking into Hruby and seeing you sitting in the middle of your room of junk freaking out about how to get it all moved, sharing a storage unit over the summer (I still don’t understand why you had the huge giant Pepsi ice chest – I guess I never will), you eating all the Pita bread at Model UN, witnessing the complete demolition of a Carrie Underwood song by you and Bev (your version will always be my favorite), you running away from the soccer field and hopping the fence while the rest of us got busted, re-writing “Glamorous” by Fergie to include references to turning in your midterm and spelling out Doc’s name, you refusing to come back to campus with us and instead sleeping on a random front lawn (when we came to get you in the morning you had successfully schmoozed the homeowners into making you breakfast), singing “I don’t fight, I don’t argue…” and even jumping into the pond behind my parent’s house during one of my parties. There are countless more memories I could list and I wish you were here with me to reminisce about all of them. You have touched and changed countless lives. You have been an example of joy, passion and living life to the fullest – I hope the rest of us can rally together and start being more like you in these areas. Because, quite truthfully, you were the best at all three of them. I’ll remember you forever; for today, I am listening to Hilary Duff in your honor :) You will be missed but not forgotten. Never forgotten. Save me a seat at the bar in heaven? Ill bring some quarters for the jukebox.
