We figure all of our past visitors, and many of our Facebook fans - TopicsExpress

We figure all of our past visitors, and many of our Facebook fans near and far, might enjoy knowing how some of the special case animals at the Deer Farm came to be here. Since this is the “Season of Hope,” we thought we’d introduce you to our “Hope.” Hope is a Norwegian Fjord horse, and she was generously donated to us from a loving home where she received impeccable care for several years. We were forewarned, however, that Hope was a slow eater and allowed herself to be booted away from the feed trough by any aggressive pasture mate. What better a place for Hope to be than a petting zoo where her meals could be regulated, and lots of people would constantly be approaching to feed her and lavish her with attention? Hope has adjusted to her new surroundings beautifully. She loves it here. She has her own private pen but enjoys all of her zoo mates housed close by. We can never thank Hopes owners enough for considering our Farm a great place for Hope to live her life. She is doted upon every day and lacks for nothing. Hope is a lucky girl and we are honored to be her caregivers.
