We founded this country on the beliefs that we, as Americans, hold to be important. Those beliefs are still alive and well today, some beliefs modified and expanded to include all Americans. The hottest points of debate today are diversity and immigration. Diversity has always made our country great. Immigration allows fresh blood and ideas into our country. As long as the diversity and immigration doesnt displace current freedom of religion, choice of religion, and the other basic human freedoms we enjoy, this country will endure. Also, we must not allow our government to cheat us out of these freedoms under the guise of protecting us. While there are factions in the world who would love to steal our freedoms, Im not sure we need that much protection.
