We got a request for a Tenzi update so here it is! The first shot is the day Tenzi was rescued from a horrible home on the Mexican border. We were alerted to his post on Craigs List (no place to rehome a dog!) by his owners that were actually trying to sell him. Our volunteer that does our border rescues rushed to get him. Tenzi had been neglected since he was a puppy and he was only just a year old. As you can see, he was in terrible shape! Due the lack of good nutrition early in his life, Tenzi has a condition where he has inflammation in his skeletal muscles and he received a very poor prognosis from the vet so DLRR decided that he would remain in his loving foster home under our care as a sanctuary dog. DLRR has several of these Labbies that will never leave their fosters and will be medically cared for by us until the end. So far though Mr. Tenzi is proving the vets wrong as he has gained weight and is keeping it on and he is a happy boy! Here he is playing with Butter (the darker colored Labbie) - Butter is up for adoption now!
