We got some updated photos of TIGGER today! Check out this handsome guy. He really needs to find his adoptive home soon. The shelter is no place for any dog. He loves the one on one attention that the staff is giving him, but he should be in a home. If you would like to adopt Tigger, please read his bio carefully and if you fit the bill, so to speak, then fill out an adoption application on our website. We want to help him and FAST! We feel he would be best as an ONLY DOG because he can be picky about who he gets along with. We cannot risk placing him with a dog and having things not work out. Hes been bounced around too much already. NO CATS for Tigger either. Meet Tigger! The NH Humane Society reached out to us back in October to see if we could help place this handsome boy! In November, they had found a home for him. We received a call that he was returned to the humane society as the home felt that Tigger was too much to handle. Tigger is not doing well in the shelter environment, so we are looking to spring this boy, ASAP. What we do know about Tigger is that he was unfortunately mistreated in the past. Because of this he can be a bit timid when meeting new people, but once he warms up he thinks he is a big lap dog! He already knows fetch, sit, down, roll over, and is crate trained, but his new home will need to attend a basic obedience class with Tigger to help with bonding and trust and to help him build up his confidence. Tigger is a bit of a puller on leash, so he will need to be worked with in this area, and training will also help with that. Overall this handsome guy is looking for a family who can teach him the love and respect he so deserves. Because he is timid when meeting new people, we will not be placing him in a home with younger children, needs to be 16+ or no children. Tigger would also benefit from an active family, one that would walk him daily so that he can exhaust some of that energy he has.
