We got this lovely review on TripAdvisor the other day... thanks so much and keep em coming: Amber Tree Lodge is in a great location with customer service and amenities to rival any upscale hotel. The street was quiet but just a few blocks from restaurants and bars of every type, and only a R40 taxi ride from the bottom of Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront. With a MyCity bus stop just steps away, it was easy to visit any attraction in the Cape Town area. With two electronic security gates, as well as 24-hour security, their was no issue of safety. The dorm rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are immaculately clean and the smallest details were thought of. Plenty of plugs in the rooms, reading lamps for each bed, lockable store space for your belongings, baskets and hooks in the showers, and a fully stocked and organized kitchen that can be used to cook meals or store leftovers. The common space is comfortable and well designed for lounging or working. It was incredibly nice to have access to wi-fi and DStv at all times. Wayne and Stephen were happy and helpful at all times - and their recommendations for tours, restaurants, and transport were always spot on. I cant imagine staying anywhere else! I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in Cape Town for any length of time!
