We had a huge day with barn calls yesterday which ended with a beginners 4H driving clinic for minis and returning home about 10:30 pm to do chores. I have lots of video to sort through for that. Will get it up soon. BUT this is a HUGE step for Anna and Nola, the Fjord Mares. They took out two loads of manure this morning and I got video of the second load. Those familiar with my 1-3-5 step method of introducing new vehicles should count Nolas steps when I first engage the spreader. She takes one step, puts her head up into alert position, Stops momentarily, which resets the step count, then her head drops on the second half of step 4 showing she is comfortable. She showed comfort on the first load at the same time, with a few seconds of stopping after 1 stride. These two mares have comes miles in their comfort. Note Anna, who in a previous life might have been known as Speedy Gonzalez, is on the left. Her demeanor is so quiet, a big change for her. Now we go out to get Val ready to be a movie star. More about that later also.
