We had a pleasant evening at the Brentwood Library at the Candidate Fair. The host sponsoring organization, Family Action Council of Tennessee conducted the event in a welcoming format. They made me feel very comfortable. My speech went well. All of our conversations at our tables were cordial. The three or four discussions that ended in an impasse were not offensive. I am glad I attended. Thank you Tracy, Rebecca, Brad, and Robert coming and supporting me. Glen Casada told me that after the districts were redrawn, the 65th was 68% Republican and 32% Democratic. It takes strong credentials and broad name recognition to overcome routine party-line voting.
