We had been to Tirupathi on last Monday by train and took an a/c double bed room in Vishnu Nivasam run by TTD which is opposite to Tirupathi railway station, connected by a bridge. I was pleasantly surprised by the organised way with which TTD functions. The room availability position is displayed. The non a/c rooms priced @ Rs.300 & a/c rooms @ Rs. 800 and 4 persons are allowed to stay in a room. The applications will be given to the people in the queue depending upon the no. of rooms available. As soon as rooms get vacated, that many applications will be given . There is another complex @ a k.m away from rly station called Srinivasam & Madhavam where more no. of rooms are available @ still cheaper rates, non a/c @ Rs. 200 & a/c @ Rs. 400, 600 (two rooms) at Srinivasam & deluxe a/c room @ 800 and a/c suite @ 1000 at Madhavam. Here 6 persons are allowed to stay and rooms are spacious and as good as a 2 star hotel rooms. Free lunch & dinner is available both at Vishnu Nivasam & Srinivasam(good quality food) and so food security is there for visitors. Rooms will be given on production of ID proof for a maximum period of 2 days & double charges will be collected for beyond 2 days. In Tirumala while devotees are in queue for darsan of God & if there is any delay, food will be served free and milk for infants. The behavier of TTD employees was very friendly and information will be displayed in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada,Hindi & English, so also announcements ,at all palces. In no other temple in the country this much facilities are available even though lot of things being told against TTD in media
