We had gone to Three Bears General Store today and 2 years ago when we went I was thrilled that I got to see and feed black bears they keep there plus I was on the newlywed high! but today I was just sad seeing the bears. One had a injury that looked more than likely like a broken paw that never healed right and it couldnt put weight on it. They are kept on cement all day and not allowed in their dens to get away from crowds. The treats they get fed are not proper for them. So tonight I did a little research online and found a PETA article of all the USDA fines the store has recieved and what the fines were for. Now I dont always love all peta does but this article was very imformative and makes even more clear the bears do not belong in that shops care at all! I wanted to ask where they got the bears from at the store and Greg wanted to ask what happened to the bears paw but we didnt get a chance. The store is a awesome store but I didnt want to buy anything after seeing the bears. It was just very disheartening. Ruin the trip it did not at all but I can honestly say I have no desire to buy from that general store at all and wish they would get rid of the bear display
