We had nice overnight visit from Steve and Dianne as they stopped to get their trailer before heading home to Guelph. Dianne and I left the guys with the dishes after dinner and went for a walk. All I heard was a whisper of my name as Dianne called me. I followed her gaze and what were we so lucky to see??? A cow moose out on the road. We walked up the road, to see if we could get a closer look but it was long gone by the time we got there. It still put a smile on both our faces even though we had to view it from so far away! We are in our seventh year of living in the north and in all those years, Ive only seen one skunk near the house and that was the first year we moved here. Id just told Dianne, earlier in the afternoon, that we dont seem to have skunks around here. So, having to prove me a liar, low and behold, a beautiful little lady skunk walks out of the bush about twenty feet in front of us as we were almost home from our walk!
