We had quite a day yesterday, It started at 12 two young men who have talent but dont see it yet. Then a young man who is seeing it for the first time, but still elusive a little. Then a team in at 4. I like their coach and he told me they were making big strides. Well they are making big strides and moving forward. Not all of their kids came, but the core of their team was there. One young man who is having to face the cruelest of existences showed me his defiance. I stopped and looked at him for a minute, Just like in the movies things from my past flashed through my head. He is fighting battles similar to those I faced. I decided to just offer a little advice. He attempted to respond, but resisted. There is still hope inside him. This young man needs several things. Number one he needs people to pray his heart is softened and a true role model steps up. He is one of the most talented kids Ive ever seen. It may never happen at his age, but its there! The rest of the day was filled with so many kids pouring their hearts out to become better. I had a young lady last week ask me how she could make my day better. Those kids made a really hard day much better!!
