We had so much fun on our first annual Leprechaun hunt! We took hand nets and went out into the dusk looking with our mushroom hunting eyes cause you know, Leprechauns are really small n stuff. Nina asked everyone who passed by if they had seen any yet…We ducked behind cars and planted a green cut-out shamrock and waited for them to take the bait. Nina says that we have to be really quiet and wait for them to pick up the shamrock. And when they are hugging it (aww!) we crack them on the head and then scoop them up with our nets. Not to hurt them you know, just to make sure they dont get away. And you have to keep your eyes on them at all times. (Can you make sure you keep your eyes on them mamma?) Some kind strangers told us they had seen some on the corner so we went in that direction. Then some folks inside a restaurant came out and said that just 10 minutes prior a leprechaun came in but that it was a 21 and over place so we couldt go in. They said another went south and sure enough a gal walking her dog told us that we just missed him. While this wasnt our year to see the little guys, the consensus was that they were especially fast this year, no one can say we didnt try! So much fun!!!
