We had some great news today - after so many years of so many different results/theories/ideas, we are one step closer to getting Jett 100%! Our gastro (Sydney based because its too overloaded here) has agreed that it is quite likely Jett has EOE (its a white blood cell reaction/buildup in the throat causing lack of appetite, inability to swallow (how many times have we tried to force him to eat!!) chest and tummy pain and chronic reflux). We land in Sydney on a Thursday quite late but in time to see an allergist on the Friday and find out what environmental allergy could be triggering this reaction and our gastro has booked Jett in for a scope as soon as we land. So after a gazillion years, we could have all the answers in 2 weeks. After so many diet changes (well remain low FODMAPS as that has helped more than anything), so many doctors, so many specialists and a psychologist (yes, they thought we were crazy), we are nearly there. This has been his best year yet - except for the last term and a bit - he was almost illness free. Thank. Goodness. Whoot.
