We had such a great time yesterday with Jim and Kathy Hammack. Started with breakfast at Café Cappuccino, followed by a drive through Clifton, Norse, Cranfills Gap, Fairy, Hico, Iredell, Meridian, Laguna Park, and back to Waco. Had some of the best catfish ever at the Iredell Café, saw a neat car show in Hico, and just stopped here, there and everywhere along to way, taking pictures of wildflowers, barns, tractors, fences and more. We crossed the Bosque River 8 or 10 times. And we saw deer, turkeys, rabbits, a dead hog, and various other varmints. Lots of photo opps and lots of laughter. Ill be posting a few of my pictures. I see Jim has already got his posted so Ill try not to duplicate. I also appreciate Jim and Kathy NOT telling a story that might cause someone (i.e. Curtis) any embarrassment. But I will tell. We stopped alongside Highway 22 between Meridian and Laguna Park to take some pictures, and Curtis decided hed let Jim take over the driving again. Curtis walked around to the passenger side, and got in. Then got back out to yell something to me while I was taking some photos. We finished up and headed on. Before 5 minutes had passed, Curtis was sound asleep and slept all the Waco back to Waco (missing out on the beautiful bluebonnets at Lake Whitney). So we got back to Waco and Curtis couldnt find his wallet. We searched every inch of the car and it WAS NOT THERE. After thinking back over the day, we decided it must have fallen out when we stopped along Hwy 22 for pictures! So guess what we did??? We got back in the car and drove back out there to try to find it. And we did! It was lying in the grass on the side of the road where we had stopped. In tact and still had all the money in it! WHEW!! Thank you Jim and Kathy for making BOTH trips with us. Yall are THE BEST! And thank the Lord we found the wallet!
