We had such a nice time at our 1st Annual Catholic Community Picnic on Sunday. If you missed it you will have an opportunity next summer to see what all the chatter is about. Fr. Schaeffer blessed our food. We served aprx 175 people with aprx 130 grilled burgers, aprx 75 hot dogs and 4 veggie burgers. There was 2 tables full of picnic food and most everybody was bulging at the seams. Everyone came together and enjoyed the company of our faith family. We met new friends and rekindled old friendships. The weather was as perfect a summer day as you have seen in the movie “Somewhere In Time”. Kids played on the lawn with balls, hoola hoops and bean bags. They had fun with the sidewalk chalk and basketball and even Limbo Contest! Some of the “older” kids played softball, horse shoes, ladder golf and corn hole. The 50/50 enriched a lucky family by $142!!! It took a lot of people to make this happen, and I am so grateful…THANK YOU!!
