We had the opportunity to represent VWVA at a Flag presentation Ceremony at the DE LaSalle School in Freeport on Wednesday September 10, 2014. The Guest was Marine Col. Daniel J Lund who presented a flag to the students of DeLaSalle that was flown over Camp Bucca a forward operating Base in Iraq on September 11, 2009. Col Lund was the CO of that base at that time. In this ceremony the students paid tribute to all those who lost their lives on 9/11. They recognized those who served in our military, the members of the police departments that responded on 9/11, the fireman, the emts and all those first responders. This was a beautiful tribute put together by eighth grade boys that have been endowed with a spirit of patriotism and love for their country
