We had to take our male Boxer, Rocky to the vet today. It was time to put him down and ease the pain that he had been suffering from. He had several cancerous tumors and his legs and hips were very sore due to arthritis. We had Rocky for approximately 14 1/2 years. I worked in Iraq for almost 5 years and never had to worry about my wifes safety while I was away because Rocky had deterred several burglars due to his bark and keen sense of hearing. I picked him out from his litter as a pup and he was a great dog, companion, friend, & family member. Even though I picked him out as my birthday present, he really became Lindas protector because he would lay on the floor on her side of the bed when she felt bad or was sick. I have a tattoo of him on my arm, but my wife told me that he was tattooed on her heart! Well miss him!
