We have a Poster From The Past of biblical proportion today, ccurtacy of Gentleman rock artist David Singer. Most of the bottom half of the colleague here is a body of water with a sailing ship upon it. A large rock formation appears to be rising out of the water with a huge cloud of smoke with a volcanic eruption behind it. Moses stands on top with the Ten Commandments. It is actually quite a striking image. It was 44 years ago on this day back in 1970, that Jethro Tull, Manfred Mann (of Do Wah Dittie fame), Bessie Jones and the Georgia Sea Island Singers and Clouds, were to play for their second night of four nights of dance/concerts at the Fillmore West formally the Carousel Ballroom. Light show was to be provided by Little Princess #109. This concert however was canceled and the distribution of the poster was ultimately quite limited, making this piece somewhat of a rare bird. Printed only once, both the poster and card are difficult to find and somewhat more expensive than most of the other poster. This is BG poster #226 in the old Fillmore series of posters.
