We have a new development in the run for Ward 7 Trustee. One of the candidates has decided to approach our supporters as a shortcut to get lawn sign placements for their campaign. In particular, we are seeing this approach around Sackville (the advance polling station) and in the Cardinal Heights and Linden Park neighbourhoods. This has resulted in a number of signs being placed directly in front of our campaign signs, and our nearby signs coincidentally being damaged or removed - please see the attached photos for examples at four different locations. If you currently have a Dawn Danko lawn sign and have been approached to place a competitors sign on your property, or if your sign has mysteriously gone missing - please email me DankoforTrustee@gmail and we will get you a replacement. Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think about this approach by our competitors and if you have any thoughts on how to deal with it. From my own perspective, these types of tactics dont change our approach much - we learned long ago that signs dont vote, people do. However, I do have to admit that it is frustrating, because all the Dawn Danko signs you see represent months of hard work and hundreds of one on one conversations between myself, our team and our supporters.
