We have a new kid in our program who has a mental disability and today I kept hearing him beg the other kids to let him play with them and when I saw they kept excluding him I asked y they were doing that. After I got their answer I said dont u remember what I taught you guys about inclusion and how to handle other students that may be different than you? The student said oh yea... Come on lets play and I observed for a moment and when he didnt understand how to play the game she was willing to teach him and change it to a way he understood. I felt like such a proud teacher.
