We have a special request for PAWS ON BOARD FRIDAY!!! Sharyn, a friend in the US, has very kindly offered to take two Nowzad dogs who are in need of homes and give them a foster placement at her rescue facility 4 Paws Haven with much needed TLC and rehabilitation before they are adopted out to their forever homes. Now we desperately need the funds to get them there… It’s hard to think of two dogs more deserving of this wonderful opportunity than Lily and Ladybird. Lily has been with us for several years now… She is such a sweet soul and has a very special place in our hearts here at Nowzad. She came to us thanks to an Afghan concrete worker who contacted Nowzad. He was concerned about her and her puppies. They had been living on a site he’d been working on and hed been giving them food. One day he found out that a few locals had attempted to bury her alive so they could take her puppies but thankfully they’d failed and the worker dug them out. He asked for Nowzad’s help. We managed to rescue Lily and her pups and we’re pleased to say her pups have been adopted out to loving Afghan homes (although one of her pups, Jack, is still in need of a home). Now it’s Lily’s turn to be given a chance of a home of her own, and a life she deserves, where she knows she’ll be safe and loved for the rest of her life. Ladybird has also been with us for some time now… Ladybird is an ex feral who was found struggling to survive on the streets. We knew if we didn’t take her in she wouldn’t make it as she didn’t possess the instincts she needed to survive – she trusts and loves people. Ladybird would make a wonderful addition to a family and deserves as much love and affection as she gives out. She is pure happiness and we now want to give her a chance of a family she can love forever. Please help us get these 2 deserving girls to the USA!
