We have been busy travelling this summer, first Rome, then Riga, next Venice and finally our US trip to Palm Desert and Atlanta!! We had a very rewarding time in Palm Desert at the PTDA - its a great opportunity for us to meet with our members and listen to their views (even better when its in a sunny location!!). The talks as always were both entertaining and thought provoking while the forum sessions helped to give us a greater understanding of the issues facing our members. I feel like I need to learn how to play Golf - all these venues have such great Golfing facilities and so much networking seems to get done on the course!! (Maybe I will suggest some company Golf lessons??) While in the US we took the opportunity to stop over in Atlanta and visit the Hyatt Regency. We checked out our meeting space for next March - we have our very own tower at the Hotel where all of our delegates will be staying. Our conference space is also in this tower. We have a really big room which will make for 1.5 days of excellent networking. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet with the expected 150 delegates and as always the User Meetings create fantastic business opportunities for the future! The weather was lovely and as we had some time to kill before our flight home we decided to check out what else Atlanta has to offer: Atlantas Aquarium is the largest in the world. The highlight for me was the (ever so slight cheesy) Dolphin Show and the HUGE Whale Sharks - definitely worth a visit!We took a stroll through the Olympic Park and then finished the day by watching a game on one of the 25 screens in Hooters - I now have a better understanding of the rules of football!! There is loads to do in Atlanta and the best way to see the City would be by combining it with a BearingNet User Meeting!! (Plus you can make your air fare back with all the new business you will do) I hope to see you all on the 21 & 22 March at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
