We have been made aware of a situation on Rt. 89 where 2 dogs are - TopicsExpress

We have been made aware of a situation on Rt. 89 where 2 dogs are living in a barn with large open doors on each end, lying in hay on concrete , with no dog boxes. Please be aware that a dog in such cold weather extremes does require a dog box of proper size so they can work with their own body heat to keep warm. Livestock are much different and can keep themselves warm in a large open barn, but domestic pets such as dogs and cats require more. The bitter cold, consistent weather we are currently experiencing will result in hypothermia, frostbite and possible death to a dog that does not have a dog box stuffed with straw (which holds body heat much better than hay). Please take action ASAP to help these 2 dogs have proper shelter before it is too late. We have received many, many complaints on this home who have stated that they have called the sheriff’s dept. We can provide dog boxes and straw for these 2 dogs and for any other dogs in the county that you may find that need proper shelter. We will provide and deliver if needed. Please find attached recommendations from Dr.
