We have been monitoring the weather forecast for tomorrow, which is predicted to be very cold with extreme wind chills. Like all of you, we are very concerned about student safety in such extreme temperatures. Because of that, all schools and offices in BSD will open two hours late on Thursday, January 8, in order to avoid the most frigid temperatures and wind chills. We will make every effort to keep students inside as much as possible during drop-off and pick-up to minimize their exposure to the elements. Regardless, please make sure students are dressed appropriately, including hats, scarves, gloves, and appropriate footwear – especially students who ride the bus or walk to school. The most important thing is to keep our students safe!
