We have been with them in the trenches,we lost combrades together with them,ignited a fire of change and shaped history to a direction that even the most gifted of seers could not have predicted.We had our moments with them,danced to Madzore as he tuned and pitched mupata we Jericho,yes l was there when we all whistled and red carded as we shined in the red regalia.We had our times,with Gasela,Jongwe,Welshman and the crew,there was and that was a golden age of change which will forever remain in the dusty recesses of our minds,the memories of Wiwa and the then very young Chamisa will forever be cherished by many.We saw them disintergrate into a feud over who was or who was to be king maker.We wept at the split and we wish that dream of the split should have remained in the world of sleep,yet lt became real.We remember you Paul Themba Nyathi when you were yourself the epitome of change incarnate in human stature,we regret the split that brought one of our great academic and was to be a great opportunist and figure of enigma.l remember mostly that time when you did us proud in 2008,you stole the gold medal and unfortunately fate had another dance prepared for you.It was a great sacrifice for the people,lt was a humanist decision to save the nation from an inflation,political and constitutional crisis,we were there outside the towers and we waited patiently.It pains us all today to reckon in the here and now and realise that in that great sacrifice ,you also sacrificed this our beautiful party.On that Mbeki dominated day when pen was put to paper you unleashed a cycle of great dribbling and you have been dribbled by clever calculation,experiance and the inherent weaknesses of your own systems.We who are poor and powerless do not know the snares of power,greed,corruption and false security....all this compounded your being dribbled.Chitungwiza Council soiled you and demanding ministerial duties alieanated you from the grass roots.We started to see more of you in televisions than Mbare Musika,Big Bhawa,Majele,Njerera,Gokwe and Donsa to mention but a few.We started to miss you when we built you.On every corner we saw you fall right from the would have been swearing of Bennet,your cry over the appointments of RBZ governor,Attorney General,Governors,permanent secretaries,service chefs and you all know lt the list is endless,we know that you were trying,but still you sipped tea and l guess lt was not the tanganda that we still take down here.Then there was the constitution,great job on your part too,but to what end now,all at the mercy of the winners....yes winners,you have been dribbled in the elections,you had to throw caution to the wind and now you have reaped the whirlwind.He who subjects self to a danger has himself to blame when dooms day strikes,yes you did not have the voters roll and all that but still you went on,now you down and under..what next...the courts will never help please,even Sadc and the AU,lt is all an engagement in futility.Come back to the people,regroup or soon an epitaph will be on your grave...here lies what could have been great...the people are still your hope.Welcome home.
