We have done everything we can to just narrow the prophets down to giving only personal prophesies. This is what has caused many of them to be overtaken with greed and speaking lying words. The temptation of money has caused many of them to be overtaken and robbed of their integrity because people will used money to get a word. sometimes preachers will send for a prophet because they know they draw a crowd & money but God sends a prophet to prophesy to either the nations, city, state, region or the ruler of that area. And the word He puts in their mouth could be to root up, pull down, to destroy, to throwdown, to build, and to plant. They are being sent to reveal the heart of God & His intentions. Amos 3:6-8
