We have great news and then not so great news. She is completely fused. Which is the great news. The not so great news is that the 5mm that we gained during traction has been lost and she settled back down where she was. So Dr. Martin wants to keep her in this brace until at least 2weeks post op from hardware removal and some type of collar permanently after that. She can come out of it for periods of time but needs to be in it for most of the day. I was not expecting this type of news so needless to say, momma is very sad right now. Surgery for removal is Jan 13th.....we see Dr Lee tomorrow for her right arm and hoping to schedule that to be fixed at the same time as hardware removal. We will know more on that tomorrow.
