We have grown so accustomed to our exhaustion that we feel awkward and sometimes guilty without it. If that wasnt true, why wouldnt we be happy to receive Jesus invitation to trust him for everything and do less? In the end, we figure we know better than Jesus. Or at least consider his teaching idealistic and not realistic. While at the same time saying that he is Lord and that we believe him. Thinking two opposite things are true is crazymaking. And we need something, or someone outside of ourselves who we can trust to restore us to sanity.
