We have had a very sad morning here at the rescue, i received a call from Shelia to inform me that Mace sadly passed over the rainbow bridge this morning, it was a shock to us all as we were expecting him to be well enough to return to the rescue on Wednesday, I would like to say a massive thank you to Shelia for her amazing work and her fight with Mace, sadly his little body was not strong enough. Also Eve was taken in to the vets because she wasnt to well and tested positive for FIV, even though there will be a lot of conflict over our decision the rescue committee after taking further advice from different organisation have decided to bring her back to the rescue and not have her PTS. Eve will remain with us until well enough and will hopefully find a forever home with someone that has an understanding regarding her illness. NOTE!!!! Eve is not a threat to any other cat we have in rescue and until she is over her flu symptoms will remain in isolation, precautions will be taken even though we no that she isnt a threat to the other rescue cats or even my own. she will be retested in a few weeks just to double check the results. please read the following websites for further information: catchat.org/fiv.html gla.ac.uk/…/info…/felineimmunodeficiencyvirusfiv
