We have heard much, and rightly so, about the brave service dogs of have seen action in the far east. Did you know that one dog, a WW1, veteran, achieved the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Stubby, a Bulldog type dog, served for 18 months in France and was instrumental in finding and saving wounded soldiers as well as warning soldiers about poisonous gas attacks! Stubby saw seventeen battles. Sergeant Stubby remains the most decorated dog in U.S. military history.
