We have now run our first international weekend of the ecofilm challenge from 24 - 26th May 2013 and it was a great success. Filmmakers from over 35 cities around the world joining the global challenge to write, shoot and edit a short ecofilm in just 48 hours. These ecofilms were of high quality and in dealing with the ecotheme - sustainable transport; filmmakers addressed their briefs in most diverse, creative and imaginative ways. Filmmakers were given the freedom to explore and interpret themes and scenarios in any way they wished. Preliminary judging has taken place and now we are able to reveal those which go to the next level. In no particular order, these films are: 1. Rabriate (Brisbane) - Bike curios 2. iRoad Trippers (Camden) - The forgotten ones 3. The Magnificent (Sydney)- The marvelous adventure of the Silly Little Bus 4. Cachet Pictures (Ingleburn)- Travelling echo 5. Little Earth Productions (Cairns)- Jumble culture 6. Released 2014 (Brisbane)- My sonshine 7. Thorium Films (Werribee) - a Donkey a Carrot and a Stick 8. Sounds Like Chocolate (Sydney) - Petroleum lite 9. Brutal Poodles (Sydney) - Ego fuel 10. MaxFilm (Melbourne) - Mother Earth 11. Team Phatcat (Newcastle) - Hu Trans 12. The Film Distillery (Tweed Heads) - Space Cop 13. FAFF (Parramatta) - The Alternative Scam 14. Team Gadget (Darwin) - Going alternative is easy 15. For Reel Productions (Broken Hill) - Find a better way 16. West Aussies (Perth) - Eco inventors alternative transport 17. Esperance (Esperance) - Black holes and labels 18. Ali Ftouni (Beirut, Lebanon)- TimeLess 19. Bicicletta (Cairo, Egypt) - Enough is enough 20. Waiting while trapped (Cairo, Egypt) - Green film 21. Les Loups Blancs (Tours, France) - Sort Procedure 22.
