We have quite a wide array of our furry friends in need of foster - TopicsExpress

We have quite a wide array of our furry friends in need of foster families at this time. We are listing them in order of urgency (Franklin, Tippy, Audrey and Junior.). Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time if you can help. I always have the Foster phone with me and all emails are forwarded to it as well. So you can reach me by calling 210.313.1719 or emailing [email protected]. Thanks Everyone! First, we have Franklin. He is an adorable little chihuahua cross. He is 7 years old and only weighs 9 pounds. Franklin has a small amount of ringworm on his muzzle. With a topical ointment applied twice a day, he should be better within 2 weeks. It is very important that he find a foster family fast. Ringworm is contagious, so he cannot stay at the shelter for long. Next is Tippy. She is a sweet kitty cat that has an issue with self mutilation. She is 3 years old and also weighs about 9 pounds. Tippy was in a foster home previously and did very well. We brought her back into the shelter to run blood work and re-evaluate her. She is currently on daily oral medication to stabilize her anxiety. Tippy is also being treated with baths every 4 days and weekly injections to combat mites. She is not very social with other cats, but loves attention and affection from her foster parents. Audrey is a 2 year old, 6 pound chihuahua mix. She was transferred into our shelter from Animal Care Services, and needed surgery to repair her hip. Now this cute kid needs to go to a foster family that can help with her physical therapy. All she needs is to go for a 15 minute swim in the bathtub a few times a day to gain strength in her leg. Audrey is a happy, healthy, super sweet girl. She will put a smile on the face of anyone that is able to help her out. We also have Junior. Junior recently joined our shelter after his owner passed away. He is a happy, ultimately healthy, dog. His dad used to show him a lot of love through treats and feeding. Now Junior needs diet and exercise to shed the extra weight that he gained over the years. He is 6 years old and weighs in at 54 pounds. His ideal weight is closer to 30 pounds. He is hoping to find a foster family that will help him meet his New Year goals.
