We have seen more then our fair share of misconduct from R PD ...I usually on the side of the police..but the things Ive seen a heard from our police department is just plane crazy ...I have watched them peper spray a man who was ....in handcufs... in the back of the cop car ....not kicking ...not yelling...not spitting....just asked what was the problem that they had to use excive force..he spraid him and another cop told the officer to stop...to protect and serve yes to be corrupt no ...I am thankful for any person that puts their life on the line for all of us...I thank you...but when your own peers from other counties say RPD is a gang and very very corrupt thats a sad day ...Ive heard it from. More then a handful of out of redding officers they will not work here because of our police dept ... .. makes me sad :(... I do know many RPD that are amazing men and women have been on the force a long time...I applaud them !!! Hopefully they can guide the bad ones in the right direction!
