We have spent a couple days in Sao Luis with a trip out to Lencois Maranhenses near Beirreinhes to see the sand dunes. It is their dry season so there was very little water in amongst the dunes. It was extremely hard work crawling up and down the dunes. There were many tours out there so hoards of people mainly wanting to swim in the lagoons that had water. Bob went out a second time. I am suffering from a very bad cold and cough - related to the air conditioning I am sure. I opted out of a day trip today too. Bob had a good time at Alcantara - lots of good architecture. I slept. Tomorrow another place - Natal. We are renting a car - scary thought but Natal is a lot smaller than some of the other places we have been.
