We have taken in 6 piggies today who are a perfect example of what happens when you start with just one piggy (from a non-reputable place) who has not had any form of assessment or pregnancy watch. This little baby girl had 2 babies of her own shortly after the unsuspecting family obtained her and sadly one of her two boys decided to expand the family tree, hence the 3 tiny babies. These situations can get out of hand quite quickly and these 6 could very easily have become 10 or more. This is why it is always best to adopt from a recognized, reputable rescue. Luckily, they are now settling in and mummy pig can rest in the knowledge that there will be no more pregnancies. Here are the two boys and mum with her three babies (one and a half weeks old) as they arrived.
