We have the blessed assurance that when we accept Jesus into our lives confessing our sins, His blood that was shed on the Cross of Calvary, cleanses us from ALL sin. We are saved, but as long as we are on earth, we are constantly exposed to the temptations and sinfulness around. Just like after a bath, our hands and feet are exposed, more so the feet-that can gather dirt and grime and needs to be cleansed frequently; similarly while our spirits are clothed in the blood of Christ, we need to regularly come before Him for a cleansing of our bodies and soul. Through study of the Word, sincere prayer, diligent fellowship and living out Christ, we can be sure that we are allowing the Holy Spirit to cleanse us. Only the disciples of Jesus sat around the supper table. Of them, not all were clean. But Christ didn’t condemn any of them. He loves His disciples and is waiting for you to allow Him do what He has to. Not for His sake, but so that He can present YOU, spotless and sanctified. By His Blood!
