We have to be careful when we accuse someone of having commitment issues. Sometimes it’s not that simple. Sometimes there is more happening than meets the eye. Perhaps they know they aren’t ready and need more emotional preparation before they make the plunge. Perhaps they need more experiences to clarify where they belong. Perhaps they have another purpose to honor first. Or perhaps they can see far ahead on their path and know s(he) hasn’t come yet. Perhaps they are waiting for the beloved before they commit. Best we be careful not to judge another’s path. They may know something we don’t.
