We havent said much since the election, waiting for the final - TopicsExpress

We havent said much since the election, waiting for the final verdict from the AEC. We congratulate everyone that was involved in the Palmer United Party, in any way, for the outstanding effort that produced such a great result. Congratulations to our leader Mr. Clive Palmer for the vision, and for having the guts to form a political party to take on the established parties, which need a good shake. He achieved this to perfection. One can see that they are shaking already, their attitude is changing real fast. Thanks to Mr. Palmer for the great support to all candidates through out Australia and the great personal non stop effort through out the campaign. Very few people will endure such a punishing schedule. Like a true Australian he is handling the political spotlight with great flair. As a great team we achieved enough, for those who believed in us. Our followers will have a say in Canberra and indeed we will keep the others on their toes. The Australian public has also woke up to how the two main parties have played the system for so long, to control the political scene. It is rather sad that a country that pretends to be one of the most democratic on the planet, has such a poor voting and vote counting systems which is now turning into a farce, with re-count after re-count. If it doesnt come out right, I suppose they will re-count again!!! Is it perhaps, that they cannot count? Or is it that the figures are not coming out right? Prior to the election the new, then aspiring PM, said that he will not work with minority parties. Obviously the election result is not to their liking. Their comments also point out that they do not want micro parities to have any say and upset their system. Now they are trying everything to bring down the P.U.P. Is this the democratic example that we want to set for the rest of the world?
