We here at National Property inspections what to remind homeowners of the importance to check all Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Alarms. Most homeowners take smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for granted but they are an important piece of safety that we report in our inspection process. A properly installed and maintained smoke or CO alarm is one of the only things in a home that can alert a family to a fire or carbon monoxide 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Please make sure to check your batteries every 3 months if these are hardwired to your home and if they are not, check these once per month. They can save your life and the life of your family!
