We hope everyone had an amazing Independence Day weekend! Please help us spread the word about helping out one of our alumna sisters in need: In June of 2014, Melissa Gasmen, an alumna from The Florida State University (Fall 2003, Gamma Class) and former National Board officer (SE Lt. Governor, SE Governor, and Expansion Advisor), went in for a routine biopsy to find that she has cervical cancer which has spread to her aorta. As a result, she will be taking leave from pharmacy school and returning home to fight this battle with surgery, chemo, and radiation.
