We just avoided a potentially fatal disaster. Steph and I thought something smelled funny in the kitchen last night before we went to bed so she clean the kitchen thoroughly, however, it still smelled when she got up early this morning to go running with a friend. I also could smell it upstairs when I woke up this morning. When Steph got back from running and came into the house and realizEd that it was gas she smelled and discovered that we had not turned off a stove burner since dinner last night. We opened the windows to air out the house and have evacuated the house until than natural gas company checks it out and clears it safe to go back in. Thankfully we are all okay and nobody turned on the stove this morning to cook and egg or else we might have our 15 minutes of fame but in a tragic manner.
