We just wanted to update everyone on whats going on with Nelson. Well he has been quite adventurous it seems. We are having multiple calls today for sightings of him. We have been out looking there today. Also constantly for days now out exploring in and out of the forest and neighborhoods to figure out his routes. We figured out where he goes and how he gets there. We now have a good feeling there is evidence he has been eating the food we have been leaving out for him in the spot he has been particularly around the most. The amazing team at FLED - Find Lost & Escaped Dogs Vancouver Island has been such a great help and motivation on the hunt for Nelson. We have learned a lot about tracking dogs from them. We are honored to have them help us. They have now set up trail cameras up around the feeding station he has been eating from. This is a huge break for us as Nelson has no desire to be found it seems as he is very scared and timid from he previous life. 😢 So it has been like hunting a wild animal. You have to track them, be patient, and set a trap. In this case a humane trap for dogs to be caught safely without harm 🐶👍. We feel this is a huge break towards bringing Nelson home. Thank you to everyone, and I mean like the thousands of people that have heard about this and the many that have been calling in to let is they have spotted him.
