We know a lot of you were touched by Gingers story so we have fantastic news to share with you all.. BUT were not going to tell you!... Well let Gingers wonderful family do that.... The day finally came for Ginger to come home. Bashir and I couldnt contain ourselves from the excitement but we agreed to keep his arrival a surprise for the children. Bashir collected Ginger from the animal centre at the airport a few hours after dropping the children at school and brought him home. Gingers food and litter tray had been set up and he immediately headed for a snack when he arrived home. Then he wondered around the whole house for a while looking for a familiar smell and slept on Hannas bed. Even after a long flight, he seems fairly relaxed. Later in the day Bashir went to collect the children from school. All the way home, Hanna asked when Ginger would arrive, who was going to find out about his arrival first and how would she find out he was in England. The endless questions wouldnt stop and Bashir kept changing the subject to divert her attention. Bilal was simply thinking that Ginger wasnt coming for days. They had planned to make a welcome home banner for Ginger and Hanna was worried that they didnt have enough time. Luckily when the children got home from school, Ginger was sleeping upstairs and they didnt know he was home. The children walked in the house and took off their shoes. As Hanna was talking she saw that there was food in Gingers bowl and his litter tray was ready. Then Hanna and Bilal heard Ginger meow and they realised he was home. Both were completely stunned and realised that Ginger was home. They ran upstairs and were reunited with him. There are no words to describe their excitement. The video says it all. We will all love Ginger for as long as he is alive. He is a very important member of our family. The fact that the children were reunited with him is unbelievable and I still cant believe it was possible. Im pinching myself as I am writing this. We want to thank each and every person that donated for Ginger to be reunited with our children. You are all forever heroes in our hearts. A heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you for your generosity. Words cannot describe the love and respect we have for NOWZAD, in particular Louise and Hannah. You made a dream come true for our children and you do a truly wonderful job. Thank you once again. Gingers family.
