We know it’s not ‘skin care’ related, but definitely ‘reading the ingredients’ related (which is a big thing of ours.) Choice released a report this week about the marketing of painkillers. It was about the pain killer claims that state they will target particular areas, such as “Head and Neck Pain” or “Panadol Osteo.” Mr Godfrey (Choice) said claims that a medicine will target particular parts of your body for, say, a headache or period pain, are hard to swallow. Pharmaceutical expert Dr Greg Kyle said that painkillers claiming to directly target headache, back or period pain are a “heap of garbage”. “There’s no specific road map the drug follows,” Dr Kyle said. “It’s a molecule. It’s not an intelligent life entity.” The story also found that the “Rapid” labelled painkiller were also pretty much the same as standard ones. It reminded us of this segment of claims about “specially formulated” cat food. A must watch for anyone that owns pets. Always read the ingredients. youtube/watch?v=4VuCEt8JZd8
