We know of no people who manifest the missionary spirit, wrote James White in 1872, as do Seventh-day Adventists. They do not settle their ministers over churches. In fact, their most efficient workers seldom labor in the same State more than two or three successive years. They do not suffer themselves to be turned from their missionray labors by the entreaties or the liberal offers of the people of any locality. They certainly should labor with this noble idea ever before them that the cause is hte Lords, and is one. They should hold themselves ready to labor in that part of the field where Providence shall indicate their duty.
