We know that everyone is waiting for an answer on how the surgery went tonight. There is no easy way to put it, so we are going to say it as flat out as we heard it tonight. Our mom had a stroke that overtook most of her brain and it is more than likely that those parts will never function again. The location of the hemorrhaging was in the part of her brain that controls involuntary functions (like breathing, moving., or even waking up) and will most likely be destroyed. We will be speaking with another doctor tomorrow morning who will be explaining our options to us. We really appreciate all of the love and reaching out and have felt so much support and comfort as a family through this. Please be understanding if our responses to texts/calls/messages arent immediate, as we are spending time with one another.
